Code of the Universe – From CERN to Piazza Unità d’Italia

21st August – 17th September 2020

Piazza Unità d’Italia, Trieste

Code of the Universe

From 21st August to 17th September 2020, Trieste’s Piazza Unità d’Italia will host Code of the Universe, a travelling photographic exhibition that captures the key objectives of scientific research, technological advances and collaborative research on a global scale. Conceived and organized by CERN in Geneva, the largest particle physics laboratory in the world, the exhibition presents the potential social impacts of a large European research infrastructure.

From the complexity of the world around us to the unanswered questions of physics, Code of the Universe will engage visitors with its images and stories of collaboration and discovery, to invite people to think, feel and reflect on the long path towards some recent scientific achievements and on how frontier research shapes our world.
