TriesteACT – International Theatre Festival
TACT, Trieste’s International Theatre Festival, is launching a special “scientific” edition, created on the occasion of ESOF2020 and the Science in the City Festival and adapted after the COVID-19 pandemic.
From the 31st of August to the 21st of September, at Sala Xenia, visitors will find the exhibition TACT&ART – Notes from underground, a pandemic chronicle. Through this “call to arts”, from paintings to drawings, from photographs to graphics, forty artists from all over Italy will tell how the lockdown affected their lives and creativity.
The 1st and 2nd of September, from 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm, children will find a special event just for them: at the Ex Lavatoio, TACT4YOUNG – Gocciolina, a show for kids (4-8 y.o.), will be staged. In the play, the cycle of water is narrated by Elena Delithanassis and Ilaria Santostefano through the adventures of a water drop. After the show two creative workshops will be held by Ilaria Santostefano and Stefania Mallia.
Lastly on the 4th of Semptember, at Teatrino Franco e Franca Basaglia, the TACT Festival Final Event will take place: a performance by three artists in three different disciplines (theatre, music and dance) sharing as a common theme the relationship of man with the immensely small and immensely large. To accompany the performance there will be videos created by the international groups that were originally selected for the Festival.
