WORLD SCIENCE CAFÉ – Multilingual Science
Both a science café and a language exchange, the perfect chance to practice another language while keeping updated on the most recent scientific research, through the firsthand experience of its protagonists. This is the idea behind “World Science Café”, an event organized by ICTP (International Centre for Theoretical Physics) that will take place on the 5th of Semptember 2020, from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm, in a location yet to be defined.
A group of ICTP researchers, representing the multiple fields of science at the institute, will be available to the public to talk about science and answer questions. Every researcher will have a badge showing their field of research but also the languages they speak, such as English, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, Arabic, Serbo-Croatian, Slovene, Dutch, Turkish, Farsi, Bengali.
This way participants will have a chance to talk about science with professionals of the field while coming to know countries with different cultures and traditions, practising conversation in another language.
