Naturally, being there: lecture, readings and artistic videos for a special evening
Each city have gardens and parks. Places where we can spend our free time surrounded by trees and flowers. The relationship between nature and culture in the city has its roots back in time and these are necessary when dealing with issues such as inclusiveness and sustainability.
This evening, organized by AIDA Trieste, the state library “Stelio Crise” and the ministry for cultural Heritage and Activities and for Tourism (MIBACT), offers a dialogue between professionals, citizens and institutions. The goal is to understand how urban greenery is a place of life chosen by all citizens and at the same time an important field of scientific research.

The lecture on urban forests by Giorgio Vacchiano, researcher in forest planning at Università Statale of Milan, will be followed by multi-voiced itinerant readings in the library and in the garden, which will be set up with suspended seats and other unusual workstations. Finally, artistic videos on the natural world will be shown in the rooms on the ground floor of the library.
