SISSA Summer Festival – Teatro e Scienza
SISSA Summer Festival reaches its fourth edition, this year in partnership with Historical Museum and Park of the Miramare Castle, where the two nights of science and theatre will take place, on the 7th and 8th of August. The theme of this edition is artificial intelligence, and it will be the absolute protagonist of the two plays.
On the 7th of August, at 9.00 pm, the play “SPIRAL: Shreds of Future”, by Gigi Funcis and Lorenzo Acquaviva, will be staged. The play tells the story of Kaleb, one of the few survivors on Earth after a mysterious and destructive event that forced him to live in an underground bunker with the only company of a digital assistant called Evelyn, trying to understand what happened to the Earth and his wife.
On the 8th of August, also at 9.00 pm, “YISHI”, by Gigi Funcis, Giulia Carollo and Lorenzo Acquaviva, will be staged.
Yishi is Abra’s virtual assistant, a woman who slipped into a coma after a bad fall. Or, as Yishi prefers to define her, she is in standby. Its great artificial intelligence, fomented by the speeches of Moscar, the irreverent insurance agent, will come to think that this is not a simple accident. What to do, given its imminent disposal?
Both events are free but it’s mandatory to place a reservation at the following address: https://services.sissa.it/summer_festival
