Danilo Callegari: Extreme adventure at the edge of the world

Mountaineering, kayaking, diving, paragliding, running, swimming, cycling and parachuting are just some of the adventurous activities that Danilo Callegari does in his travels all over the world. Extreme explorer and adventurer, he was born in 1983 in a small village of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, with an innate passion for activities at the edge of human possibilities. A passion that brought him to swim in oceanic waters, climb impervious mountains and cycle through peaks and deserts all over the world.

On the 30th of September 2020, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm, at Magazzino delle Idee, Callegari himself will talk about his adventures in the conference Danilo Callegari: Extreme adventure at the edge of the world. A particular focus will be on his 2018 adventure, Antarctica Extreme!, where he pushed himself to reach the Geographic South Pole, parachuted from 5,000 meters and climbed Mount Vinson, in alpine style.
The event, organized by the National Museum of Antactica, is part of the cycle of conferences related to the exhibition XTREME: Life in Extreme Environments and will be moderated by Dr. Ioanna Protopsalti (Università degli Studi di Trieste), curator of the  Trieste branch of the Museo Nazionale dell’Antartide “Felice Ippolito”
