ShorTS International Film Festival
Online and at Teatrino “Franco e Franca Basaglia” in Trieste
Between July and September 2020, ShorTS International Film Festival, a competitive festival dedicated to short films from all over the world and to Italian independent cinema, returns to Trieste.
As part of the Science in the City Festival, ShorTS IFF will host Science & Society, a special section dedicated to shorts from all over the world and freely inspired by the ESOF2020 claim “Freedom for Science, Science for Freedom“, with the aim of describing the relationship between technology, science and society.
The shorts selected to compete in this section will be available on MYmovies.it on Sunday 5th July from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm for free, upon registration on www.maremetraggio.com. In addition, the same shorts will be screened at the “Franco e Franca Basaglia” Theater in Trieste on Thursday 3 September, from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm.
The award ceremony of the festival will take place on Sunday 12th July from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm, during which the prizes won by the short films in competition will be. Among them, also the winner of the Science&Society section, who will receive the ESOF2020 Trieste prize of 3000 euros.
